Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before booking your visit to the National Palace of Pena.
Are the tickets sold on this site official palace entries?
Yes. Every ticket includes a real, valid palace admission slot. We are an independent visitor service that resells timed inventory released by the palace administration. You receive an e-ticket with a QR code that scans directly at the palace gate.
Can I really book for today?
Yes — the "same-day availability" tag on our home page is honest. When the official portal shows "sold out" for the next weeks, we still hold slots that were released through partner allocations. We show real-time availability at checkout: if a slot is genuinely unavailable, the wizard will surface alternatives.
What's the price and what does it include?
Prices match the current 2026 admission fees published by Parques de Sintra:
- Palace + Park: €20 adult / €18 youth (6-17) / €18 senior (65+) / free under 6.
- Pena Park only: €10 adult / €9 reduced / free under 6.
- Family bundle (2+2): €50 for two adults and two youths, same slot.
The total shown at checkout is the total charged — no hidden booking fees.
How do I receive my ticket?
Immediately after payment we email you a PDF e-ticket with a QR code, plus a plain text version for print. Delivery is instantaneous (typically under 20 seconds); if you don't see it, check spam or use the recovery link on the confirmation page.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
You may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your palace entry time. Cancellations inside 24 h are non-refundable because the slot is released to the palace's live inventory. To cancel, reply to your confirmation email or write to support@example.com.
Do children need a ticket?
Children under 6 enter free, but must be listed on your booking so the palace gate can count them. Youth 6-17 pay the reduced fare. Please carry ID for anyone claiming a reduced rate at the gate.
Can I change the date after booking?
Yes, one free date change is allowed up to 24 hours before your slot, subject to availability. Multiple changes or changes inside the 24 h window incur a €5 rebooking fee.
How do I get to Palácio da Pena?
The palace sits at the top of the Serra de Sintra. Most visitors arrive via train from Lisboa Rossio to Sintra (40 min), then take Bus 434 or a tuk-tuk from Sintra centre. Parking near the palace is limited; using the Portela de Sintra park-and-ride is recommended in peak season.
Is the palace accessible for reduced mobility?
Parts of the palace and park are accessible with adaptations; some rooms have steps and cobbled paths that are difficult with wheelchairs. Please write to us before booking if accessibility is a concern and we will confirm the best route and support available on your date.
Who runs this website?
An independent European booking service. We are not Parques de Sintra – Monte da Lua, S.A., and we do not own or manage the palace. All logos and brand marks appear for identification only.
